ALPINE CONVENTION ATLAS

iMONITRAF!s objectives are to develop common strategies for transalpine traffic and to put them into action. A long-lasting political network shall be established, which serves as common voice of the Alpine regions and which is recognised on regional, national and EU level. It pushes innovative measures for more sustainable regional development. iMONITRAF! will develop a broad political network to find common strategies.

LIDO is an open-air laboratory, the first of its kind in South Tyrol, and consists in an integrated digital apple orchard and a vineyard. Both laboratories are located in close proximity to the Laimburg Research Centre.
We developed a Data Platform to upload and collect orchard measurements by sensors.
From now on, LIDO is available for companies and research institutes to use, test and demonstrate to the public existing and new technologies, thanks also to our data management system.

The aim of the project is to create a freely accessible, geo-referenced solar potential data base, which will allow private users and public bodies to estimate the solar potential on a roof level, and to give concrete recommendations to public authorities and politicians about the relevance of solar energy and the potential to further develop solar energy.

The SMMS was set-up in the LIDO orchard at Laimburg to monitor the soil moisture in an apple field using a sensor network communicating by LoRaWAN protocol.

We are running an experimental LoRaWAN network covering the technology district of Bolzano. The service is free of charge and can be directly operated by the end-user through a self-provisioning web portal.

We have developed a smart water management system based on context information management. We exploit the FIWARE platform to integrate heterogeneous data (sensor data, weather nowcast/forecast) and take actions on it.
